Southwest Fox 2008

October 29, 2007 By all measures, Southwest Fox was a resounding success. Attendance was more than double last year: 151 attendees and 181 total (including speakers and exhibitors), representing seven countries and 35 US states.

October 2, 2007 Unfortunately, Kevin Goff will not be able to speak at Southwest Fox. Fortunately, Mike Feltman has agreed to step in and give a session on error handling in Kevin's time slots. Attendees who were registered for Kevin's preconference session on Crystal Reports will be given the opportunity to choose another precon or get a refund (assuming it wasn't the free precon from registering early).

October 2, 2007 A couple of very cool demos will be shown at the Southwest Fox 2007 Keynote presentation, Thursday, October 18, at 7:00 p.m. Toni Feltman will show .NET Extender for VFP and VFP Compiler for .NET from eTecnologia.net and Christof Wollenhaupt will demonstrate Guineu. Both of these are gaining a lot of attention in the VFP community. Although they're similar in concept--they allow you to run VFP code in .NET--they are very different in implementation. Be sure to attend this exciting session to see how these products may affect your future development efforts.

September 26, 2007 The schedule for Saturday has been changed a bit; see the Schedule page for details. Also, if you previously downloaded the Kokopelli application, please download the latest version, which has the schedule change.

September 17, 2007 Hentzenwerke will have a bookstore at Southwest Fox 2007. Come see the latest titles from the premier VFP book publisher.

September 5, 2007 Dave Aring of Visionpace has created a very cool session scheduling application called Kokopelli (the name of the figure with the flute in our logo). It automates the selection of the sessions you want to see and even creates a handy printed schedule that fits in your conference badge. Download the ZIP file and extract it in its own directory, then run Kokopelli.EXE; it requires that VFP 8 or 9 be installed on the system. Although it's very intuitive, it also includes instructions on how to use it.

August 29, 2007 The session schedule is now available.
