White Light Computing Scholarship
We had so much fun with our scholarship the past several years we decided
to do it again! Do you want to get part of your conference fee covered by
Platinum sponsor White Light Computing? Simple, register for
Southwest Fox or Southwest Xbase++ between now and July 1. White Light Computing and Geek
Gatherings will randomly draw two names from the list of attendees who
register.
This means you have to pay for the conference now. White Light will send
the winners US$150.00 by check or to a PayPal account after your registration payment
has been processed by Geek Gatherings LLC, sometime after July 15th.
Just a few rules, regulations and notes:
- Two names will be drawn, one from those registering for Southwest Fox and one
from those registering for Southwest Xbase++.
- The winners will be notified by phone calls from Rick Schummer.
- The $150 will be deducted from any refund due to cancellation.
- You must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible.
- Except where prohibited, participation in the scholarship
constitutes winner's consent to White Light Computing and Geek Gatherings
to use winner's name, likeness, opinions, biographical information,
hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide,
without further payment or consideration.
- Registrations must be processed before midnight (Eastern Time) of
July 1.
- Each full conference registration is one entry in the drawing.
- Odds of winning will depend on the number of registrations during
the allowed period.
- The judges' rulings are final.
- All tax considerations are the responsibility of the winner (consult
your tax accountant for specific details).
- No employees of White Light Computing or family members of the
employees of White Light Computing are eligible.
- No winner of the White Light Computing Scholarship is eligible for
the Tomorrow's Solutions Scholarship.
- Your mileage may vary, some settlement may occur during shipping.
Tomorrow's Solutions Scholarship
We know that committing to come to the conferences for the first time, or
for the first time in a long time, is tough. To make the decision
easier, Platinum sponsor Tomorrow's Solutions, LLC is
offering a scholarship of $150 for one new attendee. A new attendee is
anyone who has not attended either conference since it was operated by Geek
Gatherings, that is, anyone who has never attended or only
attended in 2006 or earlier.
If you qualify, register between now and August 1. Tomorrow's
Solutions and Geek Gatherings will randomly draw one name from the list
of new attendees who register by August 1.
You have to pay for the conference now. If you are chosen,
Tomorrow's Solutions will send you US$150.00 by check or to a PayPal
account before August 15.
